After Christmas by Cedara Some time after Christmas in the Tyler household, Howard stayed over. Putting on the dressing gown, he checked the pockets, just in case he needed something in the following night. He frowned as there was nothing in them. "Jackie," he yelled over towards the kitchen, "Did anyone use my dressing gown? I'm sure I put an apple and a satsuma in it." "Oh, the Doctor needed them," Jackie yelled back, busying herself with breakfast. "He and Rose dropped by at Christmas." Howard frowned. He had heard from Jackie that Rose was travelling with a man who'd hired her as her 'companion', but he was sure Jackie didn't like him that much to let him sleep under her roof. A few minutes later, he found something else and frowned again. "Jackie," he yelled over towards the kitchen. "What's a leather jacket doing in your wardrobe?" "It's the Doctor's, sweetheart," she yelled back, then decided to walk over the bedroom. "He got sick, so we had to undress him." "Didn't he need it when they left?" Howard asked curiously. "No, he changed. I bet the two just forgot I hung it up there," Jackie answered. "Breakfast is ready." She turned around and returned to the kitchen. Following her, Howard asked, "Who is the Doctor? I thought Mickey Smith was Rose's boyfriend." "That's a long story," Jackie sighed. "Now eat your eggs before they get cold." "All right." - END- |
